“Young investors” is an innovative financial literacy program designed to expose young children to the world of business and finance in a fun and engaging way.

By the end of our 10-week program students will be able to:

  • Explain the role businesses play in today’s economy
  • Understand the concept of investment, being able to explain the difference between saving and investment.
  • Develop understanding of the concept of common stock.
  • Investigate stock exchange and its activities.
  • Experiment with investing by creating their investment portfolio.

Program length: 10 weeks x 45 min

Language: English

Teaching format: Students and their teacher connect through Skype, Webex or other technology available for your region.

Each classroom has 2-3 students and a tutor.

Learning methodology:

Ability grouping: We exercise great care when selecting the students and pairing them in the classroom.

Adaptive teaching: While all our classrooms follow the same program, class activities are adapted to each child’s interests and development level and may different per classroom.

Case method: Students study videos of existing children entrepreneurs and stories about famous companies they know and learn to understand what that business is about.

Learning through collaborative argumentation and Learning by teaching:

+50% of the class time is dedicated to student interactions, where tutor acts as a facilitator. Students learn a great deal by explaining their ideas to others or defending their point of view.

Open-ended problem solving: To motivate child’s critical and creative thinking our exercises often contain incomplete information. Students are asked not only to show their final solution, but also to explain how they got their answers and which assumptions they made on the way.

The program aims to develop the following key competencies for lifelong learning:

  2. Digital competence
  3. Learning to learn
